There's a lot of chatter nowadays about energy. How could we heat our houses? There's no gas in a large part of Cornwall. We have an oil boiler for hot water and radiators and an electric cooker for food. Perhaps we should get an air-source or ground-source central heating system. There is a heat pump with a heat exchanger. We have a big enough garden for long pipes. It is not cold under the ground. Some people have panels to use energy from the sun, on the roof or in the garden. And there is plenty of wind in Cornwall to generate electricity.
