The City Hall in Truro was built in 1846. The walls were made of granite ashlar and the roof was Delabole slates. There are arches, a clock tower and many other fine architectural details. It was put on the list of heritage buildings in 1971, and part of it was converted to a theatre in 1997. It is now the Hall for Cornwall. It was closed three years ago and stripped back to its walls. £27 million (and a lot of work) was spent for rebuilding and refurbishing the interior. It reopened three days ago - a beautiful theatre.
