Several years ago it was the location of "Lowender Peran", a Celtic
festival, in the old Ponsmere Hotel. The original hotel was demolished and
there was no place for Lowender Peran. So Lowender Peran went to Newquay. But,
in less than one week, the festival will come home. There will be music and
dancing in the Memorial Hall, and a guided walk around the village. There will
be tunes from the Cornish National Music Archive.
