The afternoon is hot, and I am full of apathy and fatigue. (Is it possible to be full of something as negative as apathy? My head is empty!) I have to write something, but I have no ideas. I need to be a borrower of ideas from other writers. In 1906 Elizabeth Holden published "The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady". It had charming water colour paintings of birds and flowers. In May she saw a chaffinch nest, hawthorn blossom and wild hyacinth. Suzy Sharpe (www.suzysharpeartist.com) produces a blog every month, with paintings and poems, "Tales from Hillside Farm, and Bird of the Month". April's bird was a young gull. I shall borrow from myself as well. I wrote more lessons for children, with every type of weather. "Clip Art" is very useful for illustrations - clouds, sun, wind, rain, snow, hail, fog, etc. Perhaps I could find some photos - clouds above the sea and fields.
