I very much like crystals and minerals. I like looking at the examples (specimens) in the Royal Cornwall Museum. There's a splendid display in the Rashleigh Gallery. That's named after Philip Rashleigh (1729-1811) of Menabilly - Member of Parliament, country squire, Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS), expert in minerals and geology. He gave the name "endellionite" to the mineral first found in the mine "Wheal Boys" in St Endellion. It was also found in Herodsfoot. It has the formula PbCuSbS3 with lead, copper, antimony and sulfur. The crystals are beautiful but antimony is important for modern technology.
