Last Thursday there was a meeting of my art group in Kea Community Centre, but I was not there. I was at home with a cold. My friend took photos and wrote notes. Therefore, I can write the newsletter. Joe Armstrong is a popular local artist. He painted  a seascape in oil paints on wood. He did not use paint brushes, but he used a palette knife and his hand. He mixed all his colours on the palette - for example, red and blue to make mauve.
