Can you see any difference between the two images? I didn't see at first. Someone painted the flats. They were cream colour for a long time, but now they are grey. The change was done quickly. There is more than paint for this old house. There's a thick coat of rough cast on the wall. Today I noticed new scaffolding in the little lane, and a lot of wood on the roof of the old house. Two roofers were working on the roof frame. There will be a new roof. Is the man with a saw a carpenter for the woodwork or is he a slater or a tiler? Will the new roof have slates or clay tiles. Perhaps it will be a scantle tile roof (like Stippy Stappy).
