According to Cornwall Council, Cornwall is on a narrow peninsula – and there is no inland part more than twenty miles from the sea. The coastline is more than 400 miles long, including 158 miles of Heritage Coast. Many people have a sea view. Fishing and tourism rely on the persistent health and beauty of this coast. So, how is there so much planning for new towns – without providing the needed infrastructure? The coast will be polluted by sewage and dirty drainage from roads, cars and a lot of concrete. In the meantime people at the beach must be kept safe. Beachguards watch surfers and swimmers in summer days. And at night and in winter the vehicles are locked in a garage.
