Sometimes there is beauty of an early morning but from time to time there is more beauty in an evening. Sunset gives a ruddy colour to the clouds and the sea. Water on wet sand reflects pink clouds. It's six o'clock and the tide is coming near. There are little waves near the promenade and there are some people in the water. The surf isn't big. As I went along the road (in a bus) the darkness drew in. The sun disappeared behind St Agnes Beacon. Bit by bit the sky turned dark. There were some moths squished on the window. (There were more once upon a time – but now there aren't so many flying insects.) There were lots of lights – cars, traffic lights, buildings, hospital. Finally I saw the moon over the cathedral.
