The weather today was fine – quite cold but sunny. The city was quite busy. People were shopping for Christmas and there were people playing music in the street. The high cross by the cathedral in Truro has returned. It is mended. It fell several months before this. Did the wind blow it down? It did not. It was hit by a car (the driver was ill). It was broken into three parts. They are joined together again now. The gulls were busy on the beach, waiting for food to be carried towards them by the tide.
