Friday the thirteenth! That is unlucky for some people. The Liberal Democratic Party wanted to gain more Members of Parliament, but they didn't do it. Once upon a time Cornwall was a stronghold of Liberalism as well as Medhodism, but it isn't nowadays. After yesterday's election, the representatives of Cornwall in London are Conservatives. Or are they London's representatives in Cornwall? Time will reveal all. Sarah Newton has gone and now Cherilyn Mackrory is the representative for Truro and Falmouth. She is a younger woman with a family. Sadly, she is not a Cornishwoman. Will she and the Conservative Government be good for the Cornish language? Before now the Tory Government was miserly. Dick Cole, Cornishman and candidate in the China Clay district, did not win, unfortunately.
