A very good day today – the weather was lovely, without fog and without rain, and we had nice visitors with a big car! What could be better than going for a little outing? I have been nowhere different since the beginning of March. My husband wanted to see Porthtowan – in the past his grandmother and his aunt had summer holiday chalets in a field near the beach. The field is still there, but new chalets have replaced the old ones. The carpark was full, so we couldn’t reach the beach. We sat on a hill and looked down. The colours were beautiful; orange montbretia and purple heather on the cliffs. St Agnes Beacon is covered with heather as well. It is Purple Mountain. And the sea? It is undoubtedly blue. "Blue-grey-green" is not a suitable word today for the Atlantic Ocean. In the evening sunset provided more purple; heather and peach.
