We were lucky with the weather yesterday. We are more unfortunate today – it’s raining. We walked out and then turned around quickly! After the vegan festival yesterday we went to the beach at Porthtowan. The little girl wanted to run on the sand and float in the sea on her bodyboard. It was low tide and the sea was far from the high tide mark. The first part of the beach is full of big pebbles. The pebbles are all sorts of rocks and there is a line of seaweed thrown up on them. We could see an engine house (Wheal Coates) on the cliff. The surf school was busy and there were beach guards ready to save anyone in trouble. Fortunately, it wasn’t dangerous and the sea was tempting.
