London is sweltering,
but here the night is not too hot. There is fog, from the sea, in my garden.
This morning the lawn was full of cobwebs sparkling with tiny dewdrops after a
foggy night. There was sun in the middle of the day but fog came again in the
afternoon. We saw the surveyor again - he has several more days work. He was going home for his dinner. Estate agents are very busy nowadays. The Government wants to boost the economy, so it has abolished stamp duty on house sales of £500,000 and under. All the world is selling houses, it seems. We walked near five houses for sale in one hour. One of them has an estate agent's board by its gate. Most of them are empty second homes or houses for rent.
