A tractor is a very useful thing. I saw three of them today and each tractor was being useful in a different way. The first has widened the little river - it’s part of the flood defence, perhaps. I saw the second in the early morning. It was raking the beach. The beach has to be cleaned before there are any holiday makers (summer visitors). Flotsam and jetsam, rubbish from the sea, plastic and seaweed are all taken away. I saw the third tractor in the afternoon. I heard “Parp! Parp! Parp!”. The farmer was shepherding his ewes and lambs to a new place. He’s parked his machine across his lane. The animals could not run away on the road.
