Do we have a summer? Do we or don’t we?
It won’t be long till the middle of summer,
the longest day and Midsummer (the festival of St John the Baptist).
I remember many beautiful days in spring,
with blue sky and sweet flowers.
Last year my garden was full of orchids,
but this year there are only a few.
Perhaps the weather is too cold or too damp.
On the other hand, we didn’t have lots of apples
last autumn, but next autumn
We will have plenty of fruit (I hope).
There are many little apples and many little plums on the trees.
