I was in “Heartlands” again today. (It doesn’t have a Cornish name.) It is Cornish Language Festival and the beginning of “Speak Cornish Week”. After this there will be two weeks of happenings in the Cornish language all around Cornwall. We put up tents for shelter in case of rain. It was very windy (the canvas was flapping). There was a display about the Kowethas (Fellowship) and a stall for Agan Tavas (Our Language) to sell reading books. For the children there were stories, painting pebbles and a hunt for teddy bears. There was good folk music all day in the totem circle and in the evening there was a concert with lots of groups. In the afternoon Golden Tree launched a new Memrise course and the Rosweyth launched a new website called Living Cornish - a collection or archive (of recorded voices).
