I like flowers. My garden is full of flowers, but they are not those I would prefer to have. I have a red rose, but the bush is fifteen years old and it should be bigger. It does not like my garden. Our neighbour has better roses - in her hedge. They are climbing up in a tree. There are dog-roses, wild roses, in the hedges too. Is the rose the most famous flower? There are many flowers with the name "rose", but they are not all true roses. Some of them have pretty colours like roses. There is the honeysuckle (tree-rose), hibiscus (rose of Sharon), peony (mountain rose) and oleander (bay rose). I have a bay tree but it is not the same. (Bay leaves are used as herbs but every part of the bay rose is poisonous.) And, of course, "desert roses" are crystals or sand, not flowers.
