Tregothnan is a big house and landed estate in Cornwall. The mediaeval house was ransacked in the English Civil War, but a new house was built. The Boscawen family have been owners for several centuries. In the 19th century, Lord Falmouth was owner of three or four percent (almost) of the total area of Cornwall. Nothing is as grand as the big house near Falmouth! Bits of the estate have been sold recently. Some fields have become housing estates. Some old houses are being restored and extended. However, the bone mill is falling down. There is now a fence all round it, because it is dangerous. There's a warning notice.
