I saw a solar eclipse in August. The new moon passed between the sun and the earth, and moon's shadow fell on the earth. The light of the sun was partially obstructed. More recently, the earth was between the sun and the moon. The full moon passed through the earth's shadow. The moon turned red. I did not see that lunar eclipse. The night was too cloudy. Tonight I won't see the moon, because it's a new moon. The moon will not reflect the sun's light towards the earth. The gravity of the sun and moon together will pull the tide higher, and fuller.
