British Science Week is ten days to celebrate STEM - science, technology, engineering and mathematics. But what is science? Are science and knowledge the same? For science we study the physical world, the world of energy and matter (which should be the first?). There are many branches of science - physics, chemistry, life itself. Does science begin with the cosmos? Do children have curiosity about stars? They sing an old rhyme about one star.

Twinkle, twinkle little star

Spladn che, steren vian spladn,
War an mor ha'n tir en dadn. (on the sea and land underneath)
Dres an cloudys, otta che, (beyond the clouds, there you are)

Spladn che, steren vian spladn,
War an mor ha'n tir en dadn.
