At last, we have a fine day. After several days of grey weather, Cornish lessons on Zoom and working in the garden, I was ready for a long walk in sunshine. Every lane is full of mud and puddles of water. That is not a problem for horses, but I have to wear waterproof boots. We see prints of iron-shod hooves in the soft mud. There are birds' footprints too. The air is full of sweet birdsong. Here's a robin. He is a frequent companion on our rambling. I could hear a little bird, perhaps a warbler or a wren, but I couldn't see it. Is this its nest? There are several changes to be seen all around. There are more than two lambs now. The black lamb and the white lamb, with their mother, are still here, but they are joined by more of them. And there's a field full of pregnant ewes. There will be more lambs soon. And the "barn" is almost sold. But it's smaller now, a big part of the wall has fallen down. Is it unsafe now? I'll write more tomorrow.
