The rams are in a small paddock. They can rest and eat
until next autumn. They are white but some of their lambs are black. There is a
gene in a ram that is subordinate (recessive) to a dominant gene for white, and
similar in some ewes. All the ewes are white. There is no black ewe, though some are black- faced.
Why is the bone mill wall falling down? Did
the bad weather, a heavy shower, wash the mortar out? Did the frost crumble it?
Or did someone help it? "Oh dear, we can't renovate this. We'll have to
pull it down and build something entirely new and modern and alien to this
area!" It has no roof. (The owner removed the roof for fear of squatters.)
The wind turbine is working again. It is not
completely finished yet. The nose cone is still on the ground.
