A grey day! The sea was "glas" and the sky was "glas", but today the "glas" was more like grey rather than blue. The rain washed the colour out of the sky. It was too damp for my camera. I must use old photos. We didn't have any snow, but there was snow in Swindon. Our grandsons made a snowman in a park. "What are the eyes?" "Twigs." "What is the nose?" "A twig." "Isn't there a carrot for the nose?" "There's no carrot in a park." "What are the buttons?" "Twigs." "What are the arms?" "Twigs. There are twigs in the park." "It's melting now." There's not enough snow in this country for skiing, nor is there enough ice for skating. The children can't glide anywhere. Was the seventeenth century colder? These people are skating on a frozen moat or lake. L.S. Lowry painted snow in Manchester. That wasn't pretty! Snow should be on mountains.
