There are happy people in Truro now. In the past year Truro was allocated money by the Government in its Town Deal funding. £26.3 million pounds was promised. Truro has seven big projects. It will be a “connected river city”. A first tranche of funding has been released. One project is for the “The Hive” (Pydar) – good for the creative economy (they hope). Pydar will be an innovative centre for learning and living. However, there are sad people in Cornwall too. After twenty-five years, Skinner's Brewery is closing. There are not enough people with enough money to buy its beer. Farewell Betty Stogs.
