Today begins National Hedgerow Week. Hedges are very important. They join different habitats, protect against pollution, help us in the fight against climate change. Hedgerows provide homes for 80% of our woodland birds. Other significant animals found in hedges are hedgehogs, bats, newts, dormice and butterflies. We must look after our Cornish hedges.
