What is this season? The weather is not very cold today.
There was sun and a blue sky. The apple tree is confused. The lower half thinks
it is winter. The branches have no leaves at all. But the top of the tree is
full of green leaves. There are other trees that are not confused. Their leaves
are red and yellow or golden. The ground is carpeted with fallen autumn leaves.
I like the silver birch. Every plant does not have leaves. Some of the orange
colour is found in fungi and lichens. We cut a tree here several years ago and
now there are toadstools. This wall should be white but there is something
growing on it. Lichen is forming a crust. The pigment is different from the autumn
leaves.
