My little world is filled with colours,
patterns and textures. There is beauty hidden everywhere. Why does this fungus
have an appearance of lace or a frilly fan? The wood is rotten but the fungus
is vibrant. Look at the rough lichen on this wall! The robin’s breast is smooth,
but its feathers are a lively red. Catkins are not smooth. They have an
appearance of scales, like a fir cone.
