We are finding many problems in our old house. We are still waiting for the plumber for our showers. He can't come because of the coronavirus. Have you heard of "water hammer"? This is our new problem. It was not a problem before now. While we run hot water there is a loud "knocking" noise, like a hammer hitting the pipes. Is the pressure too big? However, sometimes the water pressure is too low. Men from the water company investigated. Our neighbour has two taps in her stable yard, to fill a water tub for her horses. One of them is affecting our water, it seems. It is an old agricultural connection.
