A little job for today was to cut all the dead heads off the hydrangea. The dead flowers protected the bush through the winter, but now they are not needed. There will be no more snow or frost. I am very happy with this bush – I grew it myself from a small cutting. This lilac came from a cutting as well, a present from Aunty Ivy. The original bush was in Treyew Cottage for a long time. It’s not there now – County Hall is there instead. A little bird (dicky bird) is waiting all the time. It hopes for a bug.
