Today it is International Women’s Day. There are many inspirational women, in the past and at present. Frida Kahlo was a Mexican painter. A childhood illness and a later bus accident made her crippled. This gives meaning to her saying: “Feet, what do I need them for if I have wings to fly?” Another woman, Marina Tsvetaeva Russian poet), spoke about wings. “Wings are freedom only when they are wide open in flight. On one’s back they are a heavy weight.” Mary Kom (Indian boxer) said,”Do not say you are weak, because you are a woman.”
