Aga stolyow o afînys gen crehyn codna gwydn (po gwywer). Pur vedhel ew an blew na. Leonardo a liwyas arlòdhes gen codna gwydn. Ha war an TV en “Y Dhevnydhyow Tewal” ma dhe’n woroures Lyra “daemon” codna gwydn medhel. Gwell ew genam gweles bestes nag ew marow.

My mother was born 115 years ago today. She was not a Victorian child. She was a little Edwardian girl. But when she was five years old the country saw the coronation of King George V. What a spectacle that was! The king and all his lords were clad in a lot of fur. Their robes were embellished with ermine (or squirrel) skins. That hair is very soft. Leonardo painted a lady with an ermine. And on TV in “His Dark Materials” the heroine Lyra has a cuddly ermine “daemon”. I prefer to see animals that are not dead.
