What have I seen today? I saw an autumn sign – red wild arum berries. This is a plant with several names in English – lords and ladies (because of their noble colour in autumn), cuckoo pint (because they flower in spring with the arrival of the cuckoo). I saw this signboard again as well, made by somebody. It's by an old bone mill. But can you see an official notice for a planning application? It's not even in the same road. It calls this old ruin a barn. Lord Falmouth wants to convert it into a house with an extension. It is not a suitable place for a house. It is lower than the road (and the sewers) and it's by a little river as well. It could cause water pollution to sully our lovely beach.
