I have lost the camera again. I have searched all around. Without doubt, I have put it somewhere, and then I have forgotten the place. I like my camera. I like my camera. I am lost without it. I must find it or get a new one. What kind of camera is good? Must one buy a big one or is a small one better? I have not bought a big camera for a long time. Would I prefer to make films?

I didn't go out today, and I have no news! I taught children in the morning on Zoom - they like speaking Cornish with me. I chatted on Zoom with several old friends in the afternoon. This month is a good time to see fungi. There's only one word in Cornish - toadstool. (Sometimes, we have to use the Latin names.) There are many toadstools in Great Britain - perhaps 3000 - and some of them are edible - perhaps 50. The largest part of them are inedible, perhaps poisonous. I prefer to buy my mushrooms in a supermarket - that's safer! But there are people who love to forage wild mushrooms - they can recognize the good ones. Some are highly prized - thousands of pounds for one kilogram. The mushrooms in my garden are worthless unfortunately! There are earthballs, not truffles nor puffball. Some toadstools are colourful. I'd like to find a wax-cap.

There is a proverb in Cornish: "In Summer remember Winter!" There was a glut of apples this past summer. I could not keep them fresh - they shrivel or go rotten. (And I do not have a supply of carbon dioxide to hinder the process!) There's not enough CO₂ in Great Britain. Will there be a shortage of apples in the shops for Christmas? Perhaps there will be a lack of meat and other food. Are you looking forward to eating turkey? There are some empty shelves. So, I used my freezer to store stewed apple and blackberry, and I made jam with apples and lemons. In October remember Christmas!

My little cherub has gone! His grandmother took him northwards by train. The house is rather empty now. An empty nest. However, it was peaceful and it was possible to do lots of little essential jobs - they're not glamorous. We had to sweep, clear, mend and clean all sorts of things. I did not want to take any photos at all.

Between feeding three children, two cats, two rabbits and two guineapigs, I had to find a suitcase in my shed. After that, I had to pack it with clothes and books for the youngest child. Did I eat myself? I can't remember exactly! I drank a lot of tea. Fortunately, two children have gone now, and the third is fast asleep. Next, I must make a packed lunch for the train tomorrow, and check the animals. So, there are no photos. Good night!

Visitors! Some unexpected and some invited. My daughter brought two large rabbit hutches with two big rabbits in them. What is the purpose of rabbits? They are not very practical pets for young children. The guinea pigs are better for handling. Children would love to pet the squirrel in the garden, but it is too timid. The children brought huge stuffed animals (a bear and a dinosaur), better than the living ones for cuddling. I prefer to admire pretty creatures from afar.
