Today I phoned two friends for long conversations. We are three old women, and we do not like this hot weather. Not at all! We are living in different parts of the country, but everywhere it is the same thing. Keep cool in the house, and use a fan, if you have one. Go out in the early morning if necessary. One friend is in the Isle of Wight. That's like Cornwall. My other friend is near London, far from the sea. She is in worse heat than Cornwall.
