Summer is finished, with the ivy flowers for bee and butterfly. Already there are many signs of Autumn. I have collected several apples and a few blackberries, plums and sloes. This year is not bountiful. There are maggots in many fruits. Birds have pecked the apples. We have not had enough rain. Animals are thirsty! Last night there was rain, but it is too late.
