We had a splendid morning - bright, warm sunshine. We could see the moon (half gone) in the blue sky above the castle. The day before yesterday in the evening black clouds were scowling at the Bassett Monument. What a difference! We took a different path today - higher. I could see far towards the horizon. The dog couldn't see anything - he only has four little legs! But he whiled away the time by sniffing out the smelly traces of other dogs. I saw a big white vessel on the sea. Was it a cargo ship? (There shouldn't be any cruise liners in a time of Covid-19.) There is a little bog in the middle of the path, with sedges all around. Waterlogged ground. And is that St Agnes Beacon in the distance?
