It is safe for the cows to return to the field. But, after such a destructive storm,a lot of work needs to be done elsewhere. A fallen tree cannot be left on the ground. The wood can be burnt in a stove. It would be cheaper than gas or oil. Unfortunately, our stove is broken. My husband is busy with saw and loppers. There's a heap of unusable small branches, twigs and leaves. Perhaps we'll need a bonfire. We can't save the old shed. That will be a big bonfire.
