Are roads in Cornwall safe? Are the cars going too fast? Cornwall Council has a plan to reduce the speed limit in some built-up areas from 30 mph to 20 mph. Twenty is plenty. It has already been tried out in Falmouth, Penryn and Camelford. The traffic is not so fast.  People can walk with dogs and ride horses without being so afraid. Next this year will be Camborne, Pool, Redruth, Illogan, West Penwith, Truro and the Roseland. Other places will come later. Lostwithiel and Perranporth will not slow down until year 2026. Changing signs will cost £4 million more or less.
