There was much rain in the night – our driveway is like

a marsh.

The water can't drain away fast enough.Today we have

experienced

a diverse range of wintery weather, all mixed up. First

there was sun

with wind. Then I heard a thunder clap, but without a

lightning flash -

and it was still sunny. Then, suddenly the sun had gone

and the sky

turned black. Lightning and thunder overhead – and

what was that

sound, like drum beats? Hail, heavy hailstones on the

roof of the

conservatory. And all the time – wind in the trees.

Have we

experienced winter's full extent? No, fortunately –

there's no snow

(yet)!

And the birds are always hungry.

There's a problem with my computer. I write but the format is not correct on the blog. There are lines one on top of another and wrong coloured letters. Is the problem temporary? I need a quick solution. I looked after the little child today. The weather was too wet and windy to play in the garden. However, he was tired after lunch! Later the clouds were gone and I could see the full moon. It's called a “Snow Moon” - but there is no snow here.

We will have bad weather tomorrow but today the weather is calm.

Storm Ciara is coming and there will be high waves.

There were only little waves this morning.

I'll not go near the sea tomorrow, I shall not go out.

Today I went to Camborne for a Yeth an Werin in the Lowennac

Hotel. The town was very quiet too. We spoke in the Cornish

language  and discussed the correct way to pronounce several

words – stress for example. We drank tea and coffee and ate

biscuits. There's a bronze statue by the library – a statue of Richard
