The Passion of Our Lord” was written in the fourteenth century. Verse 41 gives us the name for this day -“The day was Maundy Thursday”. Jesus had supper with his disciples. That was the “Last Supper”. What did he do after eating? Verse 45 tells us. With water poured into a basin, he washed their feet. Traditionally, some churches follow the custom. Here a priest is washing the feet of a parishioner. Maundy Thursday is a time for charity too. The Prince is not washing any feet. But the Queen has given Maundy Money to 96 old men and 96 old women (she is 96 years old).

And here, for you, a bit of another lesson.
