It rains in Cornwall. We had a wet day today – morning, afternoon and evening. The tomcat didn't want to go out. He found an old bag for a bed and slept. He didn't bother this pigeon in the garden. She was washing herself in the rain. There are lots of apples on the tree and there are lots of them fallen on the floor. What shall I do? I'm bored. A good idea! I shall make use of apples to make jam. I have some frozen berries in the freezer for extra flavour. I have a packet of sugar in the larder. Has it boiled enough yet? No. It is too thin. In the end I made six jars of red jam.
