Is this day interesting? Is it important? What happened in this day in the past? Paul McCartney was born! He's eighty years old. Is that all that happened? No! In the year 1812 there was the start of a war between Great Britain and the United States of America. The fourth President, James Madison, signed a declaration of war. The reason? Great Britain was interfering with American merchant vessels, seamen and trade during its war with Napoleon of France. Three years after that, Napoleon was defeated and the war against France ended.
