In Cornwall there are many small roads, narrow roads. Nowadays there are wide vehicles. The roads in old settlements and in the surrounding countryside were not made for wide traffic. Sometimes there's a need for one-way streets because there's not enough width for two cars (or anything bigger) to pass. It's difficult for buses if there are parked cars or a parcels van. Rubbish collection day is a further problem. Dustcarts are slow and they stop frequently.
