A full moon was shining through the trees as I waited for the bus in the darkness. Could I be seen? I was dressed in a black coat, but I had a white scarf. Fortunately, the bus came to the bus-stop and I went to the Art Society meeting. Joe Armstrong, a popular artist, did a picture for us in oil colours. First, he spread a blue/green background with a palette knife. Second, he blended several colours with his fingers. He used one finger to put them on the canvas - here and there - with a palette knife to make a few straight lines. The colours are not true - they are from imagination. But, behold an engine house on the cliff.
