Stithians is well known in Cornwall for two reasons. Stithians Show is in July, the first Monday after the Feast Day of Stithians Church. It is a big agricultural show, the biggest in West Cornwall; many animals and a big crowd. Nearby is Stithians Lake. That is the biggest lake in West Cornwall. It is a reservoir for fresh water, since the dam was finished in 1967. It is also used for sailing and other water sports. But now there is not enough water. This old bridge is exposed. Old stones are discovered. Are they from the Stone Age?
