Can you smell smoke today? There are many fires in many places. There was a big fire in Truro. It is not in the city centre, but in a wood at the edge of town. It needed lots of fire fighters, more than forty of them, with seven engines and a water carrier. There's a lot of damage and a smell of burning. Pine trees, dry grass, high and low vegetation have been destroyed. And who knows what large and little animals died? Badgers and foxes live there, unfortunately.
