Moy pecar boos rag shora an colon. Gwell via genam cawas gwin (saw na re).

On the first day of Christmas my sweetheart gave to me a partridge. (There is no pear tree but a "perdrix" - a French partridge!) You will not see a partridge in a tree - they make their nests on the ground. They were a mediaeval food of love. Can we say the same for all the other birds in the Christmas song? Turtle doves, French hens, geese, swans, etc. - it is an excessive amount of food. Food of love? More like food for a heart attack!  I'd rather have wine (but not in excess).
