I like to write and paint. I start with a sheet of white paper or a blank screen and I make marks. The marks carry meaning. Sometimes letters make words, or brush marks make shapes. I could describe or depict something in real life. It is a pleasure to fill the page. And I am happy to bring pleasure to someone else. I only sold one picture to a customer, but there are pictures hanging on walls in my friends' houses. Occasionally a publisher will publish something I write. It is a joy to see my books on a shelf. But the best place for a book is on the floor in a child's bedroom, while the child is reading.
