I have seen the first ladybird of the year - a tiny red jewel on a green leaf. The spring has arrived. Is there anything for the little creature to eat? What is the food for ladybirds? There is food for the bees. I see our neighbour's pussy willow (catkins) full of them. There's a magpie's nest in the willow too. There is food for those thieving birds - they steal dog food!
